COIDA basically is an acronym for the words, Compensation of Occupational & Injuries Disease’s Act.
It is also sometimes referred to as Workmen’s Compensation & compliance with the act, enables the company to be issued with what is referred to as the Letter of Good Standing.
The act was established by government in the year 1993, for employers to be able to claim from Government, a compensation lump sum, should one or more of their employees get seriously injured, whilst on duty.
