ACCEPTABLE PROOFS OF ADDRESS AT THE CIDB

The following is a list of acceptable proofs of address by the CIDB.

Please note that the proof of address must either be in one of the applicants’ directors’ names or the company name.

It must also be within 3 months during the entire duration of the application process.

For CIDB grade 1’s, this period is usually within 2 days, however, for grades 2 & higher, the application period can be anything between 21 working days and beyond.

Therefore, it is very important that when submitting, you please submit a proof of address that will not expire within the minimum 21 days for the grades 2 & higher.

LIST OF ACCEPTABLE PROOFS OF ADDRESS AT THE CIDB

  • A water & lights bill from the local municipality
  • Rates & tax bill statement from the body corporate
  • An Eskom account statement for electricity bill
  • A municipal letter from a ward Councillor
  • An account statement from any national credit regulator accredited service provider
  • Security services statement for example from ADT, CHUBB security
  • A DSTV statement of account
  • A traffic fine posted to your home address
  • Any active medical aid statement
  • A tribal authority confirmation letter confirming your business address
  • A signed letter from an independent accountant or auditor conforming a business address
  • An active rental or lease agreement for premises
