Workmen’s compensation basically refers to the compensation of your employees by the department of labour, in the event that your employees are injured during the performance of their duties at your workplace.
It is also referred to as COIDA and compliance with the act, enables the company to be issued with what is referred to as a Letter of Good Standing (LOGS).
The act was established by government in the year 1993, for employers to be able to claim from Government, a compensation lump sum, should one or more of their employees get seriously injured, whilst on duty.
